停车 for Special Events

University events may interrupt parking 和 traffic patterns. During any special event or campus activity, 所有停车场, 停车计时器, 和 traffic may be controlled by 停车 Services (or an independent contractor hired by the University to manage vehicular traffic 和 parking).

Departments have three options when arranging parking needs for event guests:

1. Guests will be responsible for their own parking arrangements (park 和 pay in designated visitor lots or street parking)
2. The department may pay for guest parking by pre-purchasing parking permits at a reduced (contact 停车 Services for department special event rates) rate for General 和 Visitor parking lots
3. The guests will be required to pay an attendant (hired by 停车 Services) an event parking fee at the entrance to the parking facility.

Each special event has its own unique characteristics; therefore it is imperative that departments holding large events on campus contact 停车 Services as soon as possible in order to properly manage the event. 请记住, there is no free parking on campus 和 all vehicles without valid parking permits are subject to parking citations 和 the assessment of fines.

All parking lots 和 visitor areas are subject to special event parking use 和 restrictions. Resident students living in the immediate area of a special event shall present a valid University parking permit to be admitted into the parking lot. All non-permit holders will be assessed a parking fee to use University parking facilities.

All instructions for parking 和 traffic control devices 和/or direction from parking officials shall be followed or will result in the issuance of citation(s) 和/or the towing of the motor vehicle at the owner’s expense.
